I made a Logo, especially for my future bakery shop. I choose a simple design of donuts which will probably be sold in my Cafe. My
shop will be called sugar high, It’s just a quick idea of a name that came to my head since dessert is sweet. ( made up of sugar) I have a triangle as my background because I believe in being on the top in business, The edge of the top of the pyramid is my place! On the triangle, you can see colorful spots. Firstly it represents other competitor and It’s colorful because I believe it makes you look at sprinkles and happiness. I mix color in my text to keep the logo interesting.

I like to make this logo because it looks beautiful and the name is from Hawaiian language (mean product) I like the words Huahana is sound nice and I like it. I want the name that from different language so that why I choose the Hawaiian language. I like this bird because it looks like an eagle especially with the red in it. If I grow up I want to have a phone business with this logo

Cross Curricular Collaboration

Cross curricular collaboration is part of APIS’s teaching culture.

This teaching method encourages CREATIVITY and COLLABORATION both of which are anchor values of our school.

The following is an example of cross curricular collaboration: T. Moein and T. Jay combined their computer science class (3D design project) with an English speaking class. (Guide me through your dream house)

Students have demonstrated their creativity and ability to speak English through this multitasking exercise.

We are proud of them.

Grade 2 Show case.

APIS students come from different backgrounds and countries, but with our family care environment, they become friends very quickly and they blend many aspects of their cultures within their school life.

Focus on listening and speaking creates the foundation for future successful language studies.

Kevin (in the video below) has very recently joined our school. He comes from a completely Thai school and home environment. When he arrived here he could hardly understand or speak one word of English. Now he can understand fairly well, but he does not have the confidence to speak by himself (especially on camera!).

The theory of second language acquisition teaches that a person who learns a foreign language first goes through a period where he just listens and absorbs. For the outside observer it may seem as if he/she is not picking up the language, but this is not true. A lot of learning takes place to lay the foundation for confidence in communication at a later stage.

My Life as Lily

My name is Lily de Winter. I was born in Hat Yai, Thailand in the year 2001. I’m half dutch half Thai, My dad is from Holland (Robert) and my mom (Nuch) is from southern Thailand. I am 14 years old turning 15 next month in October. I have 4 sisters 3 older and 1 younger. The first one is called Ferm second oldest is called Fen and third is called Fern. The youngest is called Maira which is my real sister and she’s kind a like my best friend.

I love to listen to music and prefer pop. Baking and Cooking is my life, I make the best food in my opinion. My favorite food must include noodles! but really the food that I could eat every single day is Pizza. I also love to dance, I go dancing with my crew every week on Friday. I love perfecting my body. Right now I’m studying in American. It’s really nice and friendly in this school. I don’t have a best friend but I do have a boyfriend!! This year is probably the best year I ever had. When I’m finished with school I am planning to fly across Thailand and move to the Netherlands alone to take care of my Oma and experience my life living alone in a different country to out-zone and challenge my self!

My biggest dream and goal in Life is to live happily with someone with whom I can share my life.  I really like and enjoy taking care of children. I think it’s a big duty and responsibility that I need to learn because in the future I will have a few of my own!

This is how I look,I have light tanned skin which is normal for the weather in Thailand. Brown curly hair and eyes which I inherited from both my parents. I have an average height and weight I would say, 166 cm in height and 50 kg in weight measured precisely.sam_0089
