Halloween subdued this year

Students and others always look forward with anticipation to the annual Halloween celebrations.

This year, however, American Prep International has chosen to scale down the normal Halloween celebrations as a sign of respect for the passing away of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Halloween, or 31 October, falls within the first 30 of the passing away of our beloved King and thus comes before the end of the 30 days of mourning that has been declared through all of Thailand.

Students will be allowed to have subdued Halloween activities in their separate classrooms, but no special dresses and costumes will be worn to school and in other public places.

We know that our students and parents will understand the reason for this decision and will be in full support thereof.
