Science Quiz Bee at American Prep International School!
We had an exciting and intellectually charged Science Quiz Bee hosted at American Prep International School, with two wonderful schools joining us: Southern International School and Bloomsbury International School. The competition was fierce, and our young scholars from Grade 1 to Grade 6 showcased their science knowledge and quick thinking!
Each grade had three representatives competing across three levels of difficulty: Easy, Medium, and Hard, making it a closely contested event from start to finish.
EF Visit at APIS: Cooperation to Provide Student Exchange Programs
The visit of EF (Education First) to APIS aimed to establish partnerships for student exchange programs that will offer global opportunities for APIS students. By collaborating with EF, APIS can significantly enhance its international exposure and broaden the educational experiences for its students and staff.
The APIS STEM Day for upper primary students, held on October 24, 2024, was a collaborative service-learning event organized by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Prince of Songkla University (PSU) at American Prep International School (APIS) in Hat Yai. This event brought together students, educators, and local communities in a dynamic exchange of knowledge and skills through hands-on STEM activities. Organized by the School of Human Resource Development and Psychology from UTM, the program aimed to bridge academic learning and real-world skills, engaging students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.
Wai Kru is a vital tradition for APIS students as it fosters respect, gratitude, and cultural appreciation within the school community. This ceremony allows students to honor their teachers, acknowledging the crucial role educators play in their academic and personal development. By participating in Wai Kru, students embrace Thai culture, deepening their understanding of the country’s customs and values.
