No.: ISAT 058\/2016\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a013 October 2016<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><strong><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><strong><span class=\"s1\">Dear ISAT Member Schools,<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><strong><span class=\"s1\">It is with utmost sadness that we hear the news of the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. This is a sad day for Thailand and the world.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><strong><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">We have received confirmation from the Permanent Secretary for Education and Head of Office of Private Education Commission (OPEC) approved by the Minister of Education that International schools should, out of respect for His Majesty:<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><em><strong><span class=\"s1\">Close for one day,\u00a0Friday 14th October<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><em><strong><span class=\"s1\">Fly the flag of Thailand at half mast for 30 days<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><em><strong><span class=\"s1\">Refrain from public festivities or entertainment events for 30 days<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><em><strong><span class=\"s1\">Uphold a time of mourning for one year\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><strong><span class=\"s1\">OPEC has asked ISAT to notify our member schools and they will send us a formal notification at a later stage.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/americanprepschool.com\/the-curriculum\/membership-and-awards\/logo2\/#main\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3933\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3933\" src=\"https:\/\/americanprepschool.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/logo2.png\" alt=\"logo2\" width=\"309\" height=\"90\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; American Prep International is a member of the\u00a0International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT).
